The Shorrock Family have been making Lancashire Cheese at their Newhouse Farm in the shadow of Beacon Fell near Goosnargh for four generations. Pauline still follows the methods and recipes first created in 1923 and handed down from her forefathers. All her cheeses are handmade using only the raw milk produced by her own Hillchapel pedigree Friesian herd.
Pauline has won numerous prizes through the years and were reserve champions at the Royal Lancashire Show 2004. The cheeses currently made on the farm include ‘Tasty Lancashire', 'Mild & Creamy Lancashire', Lancashire with garlic and herbs, Lancashire with peppercorns, Lancashire with hot chillies, fresh red onion and other seasonal varieties. Pauline also makes the famous 'Black Beauty Bomb' a strong creamy Lancashire encased in its own waxed jacked.
