Jancis Robinson refers to Jean-Philippe Fichet as a ‘rising star’ in an area that a few years ago was selling on its reputation. Jean-Philippe started out by renting cellar space but ploughed all his profits into developing the domaine, converted a barn for his new winery and is now constantly adding bits to improve the standards and to experiment a little. He is always refining and improving on each successive vintage and his wines show a delightful purity of fruit, representing the lieux-dits to perfection.
