Memmie Jacquesson founded the Champagne House which bears his name in 1798. A favourite of Emperor Napoleon, he awarded the House a Gold medal for its outstanding commercial enterprise in 1810. Memmie’s son succeeded his father and was responsible for many inventions in the production of Champagne some of which are still used today. The House only makes 350,000 bottles annually which allows the wines to be meticulously handcrafted, avoiding any compromise that comes with bulk production and ensures that Jacquesson remains considered in the top six of Champagne Houses.
