André Perret is regarded as one of the top producers of the northern Rhône for his carefully crafted wines from grapes grown on ideal sites. This is a crimson coloured wine of blackberry aromas, good depth on the palate of fruit flavours and integrated spice and vanilla. Beautifully balanced now, this wine will also cellar well for several years.

André Perret André Perret took over the family business in 1982 with only half a hectare of vines but over the years he has sacrificed some of the livestock and orchards which made up the rest of the farm to grow more grapes as well as purchasing small sites in Condrieu and St Joseph. He now owns 8 hectares. There is no disputing the fact that his Condrieu’s are superlative and that he is an expert with Viognier, but his St Josephs are gathering a following for their superior quality and riper style. The Syrah grapes are matured in toasty oak and will mature for several years.
