Darker and deeper in both colour and taste, Tavel is a full-bodied rosé. Salmon pink, yeasty and fruity on the nose, raspberry and strawberry fruit aromas particularly stand out. The wine is dry and medium-bodied, big enough to pair with meat but works equally well with seafood, perfect with salmon.

Prieuré de Montézargues The Allauzen family recently sold this property to Alain Dugas of Château la Nerthe of Châteauneuf-du-Pape fame. Alain has installed his son to run this domaine so we are 100% assured that it is in more than capable hands. There are 34 hectares of 30 year old vines planted on sandy soil with medium to low yields. The vineyard is planted with 51% Grenache, 15% Cinsault and then the remainder is a combination of local varieties including Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Clairette, Picpoul and Bourboulenc. The grapes are still picked by hand, and no oak is used to keep the wine fresh but full-bodied. Much of the wine is sold at the gate, such is its reputation .
