Vin de Pays des Côtes de Gascogne, Dom de Saint-Lannes 2003
A lively wine, aromatic on the nose with a particular tang of grapefruit and lemon, on the palate it is zesty, dry and fresh. For an inexpensive wine this is very expressive and a superb example of Vin de Pays quality. Crisp and clean this is a perfect refreshing wine for Summer drinking.

Domaine de Saint-Lannes Michel Duffour produces undoubtedly some of the best Côtes de Gascogne on the market. He has 37.5 hectares of vines planted with 80% Colombard, 10% Ugni Blanc and 10% Gros Manseng, which, since he took over the family domaine in 1971, have produced low yields. This was quite revolutionary for the time, but proved to make such a difference that other conscientious wine-makers in the area followed suit. He cool ferments each variety separately, stores the wine in stainless steel tanks and blends before bottling. For over thirty years now Michel Duffour has been producing exciting and exemplary wine of value.
