A lovely ruby red colour with bright reflects, and with a tenuous perfume of multifarious fruits, chocolate and just a hint of coffee, Dolcetto is medium-bodied with typical Italian vibrancy of fruit and acidity. The wine is very dry despite its name (dolce meaning sweet, but this refers to the grapes before vinification) and works well with a range of mild flavoured dishes.

Cigluiti The Cigliuti family have been in the business for four generations but it was not until 1964 that Renato, the present winemaker, began bottling their own wine to sell. Of the 8 hectares they own, 6 are used for vines and the other 2 for their continuing hazelnut business. Renato is now ably assisted by his daughters, Claudia and Silvia in the cellar. The wines are organically produced, and fermentation is done in stainless steel with some maturation in Slovenian and large French oak barrels and barriques.
