New Zealand winemaker, Matt Thomson, is responsible for the Alpha Zeta range and he is ensuring its continued improvement with each consecutive vintage. Working closely with growers, he has ensured lower yields of riper grapes. Designed as an easy drinking wine, this Chardonnay nevertheless shows a good degree of richness, partly due to its partial oak ageing. Tropical fruit abounds and the acidity remains crisp to the finish.

Alpha Zeta Matt Thomson, Kiwi wine-maker par excellence is ensuring that the range of these wines is improving with every vintage. Working closely with selected parcels of grapes by individual growers, he has managed to convince growers to reduce yields and to pick later. This has resulted in some amazingly good wines. The partially oaked Chardonnay shows richness and character and the Corvina is spicy and supple – both are superb value.
