This is a Pinot Grigio with more weight and depth than the average. From an excellent producer it is more interesting, even intriguing, than lighter, cheaper styles of the same name. It can benefit from a couple of years ageing to marry the array of flavours which include kumquats and marzipan.

Mazzolada Agricola Mazzolada is located in the DOC region of Lison Pramaggiore in the north eastern section of the Veneto region between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea – the area has been used for cultivation of vines since 131BC. The current owners, Dr Claudio Collovini and his family, who bought the property in 1985, have been continually improving the vineyard and winemaking facilities. The style of wine they produce is one that is both immensely popular and yet individual and involved.
