A beautiful property situated at the top end of the St Julien commune, Duluc is the second wine of Château Branaire-Ducru. For those in the know, this Château is slowly gaining greater recognition and praise. A new winery was built based on gravity-flow (the first of its kind in Bordeaux) to maximize all natural aromas and fruit intensity. The berry fruit is mingled with a depth and powerful concentration, going on to a chocolatey, balanced finish.

Château Duluc-Ducru Château Duluc-Ducru is the second wine of Château Branaire-Ducru, a fourth growth estate in St-Julien, situated across the road from Château Beychevelle which in fact owned it until 1680 when Jean-Bapiste Braynere bought it. It has been through several ownerships since then, the De Lucs possessing the Château during the French revolution and suffering rather difficult times! The current owner is the Maroteaux family who bought the property in 1988. Under the direction of Patrick Maroteaux the wines are some of the most consistent in the area. The Duluc-Ducru is a wine which can be aged for about five years, is supple and appealing.
