This is a traditional style of Rioja, full-bodied and oaky and now fully mature. 'Reserva' denotes both higher quality and longer ageing in barrel, giving a rich wine with mellow tannins and vanilla overtones framing the soft strawberry fruit. This is a bargain for an eight-year-old wine, especially one as good as this.

Viņa Herminia Viņa Herminia was created with a single goal in mind: to make the best quality wines as possible. Located in the Aldeanueva de Ebro region of the Rioja Baja, the estate owns 102 hectares of vines in prime sites on the sunny hillsides, with a predominace of old vines. The winemaker David Morrison uses 100% Tempranillo for the Reserva, tank ferments the wine but then it is matured for 18 months in American oak.
